Collector Urges Bankers to Support Unemployed Youth with Loans

The District Collector of Jogulamba Gadwal, B.M. Santhosh, has called on bankers to actively assist unemployed youth by providing loans to help them start their own businesses. This initiative aims to promote self-employment and boost economic opportunities in the district.

On Friday, the Collector held a special review meeting at the video conference hall of the Collectorate. The meeting was attended by DCCB Chairman Vishnuvardhan Reddy and Additional Collector Narsinga Rao. During the meeting, the Collector announced that bank loans would be distributed to unemployed youth as part of the Chief Minister’s visit to Wanaparthy district on December 21.

The Collector urged bankers to approve loans under various central government schemes, including Mudra, PM EGP, PM Vishwakarma, PM SVANidhi, and SME schemes. These loans are meant to support unemployed youth across the district. He also reviewed the progress of loans sanctioned by different banks from September 22 to the present.

To ensure success, the Collector emphasized that the district must meet its ₹100 crore loan disbursement target by December 20. He shared that efforts are being made to organize Loan Melas, Job Melas, and Skill Development Programs to create more sustainable employment opportunities for the youth.

Key officials who participated in the meeting included LDM Ayyappa Reddy, SC Corporation ED Ramesh Babu, District Animal Husbandry Officer Venkateshwarlu, CGTMSE Assistant General Manager Murthy, and representatives from various banks.

This initiative aims to empower unemployed youth and strengthen the local economy through entrepreneurship and skill development.
