Discover where you can witness Chandrayaan-3's momentous Moon touchdown

India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission is set to land on the moon on August 23 or 24. On August 20, the lander module completed its final de-boosting operation and reached an orbit closest to the moon, about 25 kilometers away. It will attempt a “soft landing” on the moon’s south polar region, while its propulsion module continues to orbit and study the Earth’s atmosphere. If successful, India will become the fourth country to achieve this feat, following the US, China, and Russia. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced that the historic landing will be broadcast live on August 23 at 18:04 Hrs. IST on various platforms such as the ISRO website, YouTube, Facebook, and DD National TV channel.
