Hyderabad: Meeseva Mobile App Launched for Citizen Services
The IT and Industries Minister, Sridhar Babu, has launched the Meeseva mobile app to make citizen services more accessible. This app allows people to avail of government services conveniently from their phones.
At a recent event during the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu celebrations, Sridhar Babu announced investments worth ₹7,582 crore. He also highlighted that the Meeseva app, which aims to ensure transparency, now includes nine new services. With nearly 150 citizen services integrated into the app, people can access essential services anytime and anywhere.
Interactive Kiosks for Enhanced Accessibility
The Minister shared plans to set up digital interactive kiosks at busy locations such as malls, airports, metro stations, and collectorates. These kiosks will allow users to access Meeseva services, fill out applications, make payments, and even print certificates instantly. Additionally, the kiosks will serve as advertising platforms during idle periods, making them both cost-effective and multi-functional.
Major Investment Announcements
As part of the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) initiatives, Sridhar Babu exchanged agreements with four companies: Azad Engineering (aerospace and defense), Premier Energies, M/X Premier Energies Global Environment Pvt Ltd (electronics and energy storage), and Lenskart (eyewear). These companies will collectively invest over ₹7,500 crore and create 5,200 jobs in Telangana. Representatives of these companies praised the government’s efficiency in promoting ease of doing business.
Skill Development and Internet Expansion
The Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) announced partnerships with eight skilling institutions, including SAP, Tata Strive, My Anatomy, and others. These collaborations aim to enhance skill development across various sectors.
The Minister also inaugurated the T-Fibre (Telangana Fibre Grid) services, which will provide internet access to gram panchayats. In the first phase, internet services are being rolled out in Narayanpet, Sangareddy, and Peddapalli districts.
Innovative Initiatives for Growth
Several new initiatives were launched in collaboration with the private sector. One key program is ADeX (Agriculture Data Exchange), which uses data to fast-track loans for farmers. Through this initiative, HDFC Bank will provide loans of up to ₹1 lakh to small and marginal farmers, enabling quicker credit access.
Another initiative, Mitra Telangana, is an AI-powered mobile app focused on the mental well-being of youth. These projects reflect the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for the betterment of citizens.
Partnership for National Security Technologies
On the occasion, T-Works, a state-led prototype center, announced a partnership with BITS Pilani’s Centre for Research Excellence in National Security. This collaboration will focus on skill development in national security technologies and help advance prototypes into market-ready solutions.
