Dilip Ghosh, BJP Leader, Condemns TMC for the State's Violent Outbreak

Dilip Ghosh, a leader of the BJP, criticized the TMC government in West Bengal for the violence leading up to the Panchayat elections. Ghosh said that violence happens every time there is an election in West Bengal and that the ruling party is responsible for it. He also praised the governor for his efforts to address the violence and for setting up a help room for people to file complaints.

Ghosh criticized the state election commission’s decision to appeal the Calcutta High Court’s decision to deploy central forces for the election. He questioned how the election could be conducted if people do not show up to vote and said that the government does not want free and fair elections.

The governor of West Bengal has set up a peace room to address complaints of criminal intimidation in pre-poll Bengal. The room will send issues to the state administration and the State Election Commissioner for necessary action.
