Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has expressed his desire to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from his home state Odisha. He believes that the Opposition INDIA bloc poses a challenge and has requested his party, BJP, to allow him to participate in the elections. Pradhan mentioned in an interview that the BJP takes every election seriously and their goal is to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi serves the nation for a third term.
Pradhan emphasized that the BJP and the NDA approach elections with great seriousness. The party’s leaders and workers at all levels are dedicated, and the prime minister himself leads the efforts by providing a report card of his work, reaching out to the people, and exposing the opposition’s misleading statements and double standards.
He criticized some alliances formed out of fear, arrogance, or selfishness, without principles. Pradhan highlighted that the BJP’s focus is on gaining the blessings of the people through hard work. He has informed the party about his wish to contest the Lok Sabha elections and hopes to receive a chance to do so, as the BJP’s agenda is to secure a third term for Prime Minister Modi.
Regarding the women’s reservation bill, Pradhan praised Prime Minister Modi for giving political rights to women in the country. He criticized the Congress for letting the bill lapse and not showing dedication to it during their rule. Pradhan stated that nobody had supported the Congress in passing the bill when they had the opportunity to do so.
