Dharani Panel Considers Conducting Survey on Contested Lands in Telangana

The panel on Dharani discussed the possibility of conducting a joint survey of disputed lands between the Revenue and Forest departments in the State of Hyderabad. The committee, led by M Kodanda Reddy, held a review meeting with officials from Forest, Revenue, Agriculture, and Tribal Welfare to address Dharani-related issues. They specifically focused on the conflict zones between Tribals and the Revenue and Forest departments. In order to resolve issues related to notified lands, the committee proposed a joint survey during the meeting.

Additionally, the committee raised questions to the Agriculture department about the technicalities involved in distributing the Rythu Bandhu scheme and identifying the beneficiaries. This is in response to the growing pressure on the government and the promise made by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to release funds by the end of February. This meeting with officials was the second of its kind, following a previous meeting with District Collectors on January 24. During that meeting, the committee met with Collectors from Siddipet, Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, Khammam, and Warangal at the Secretariat.
