Hyderabad: The police force achieved success in the 9th Telangana State Open Shooting Championship. On this occasion, DGP Anjani Kumar congratulated the winners at his office on Monday. The police department took pride in the victory of the police officers in the shooting event. Prasannakumar, an Inspector from the IT and C department of Rachakonda, won a gold medal in the center fire pistol category at the 25-meter range and a silver medal in the air pistol category at the 10-meter range.
CI B Shankar, from the CWC division of the Hyderabad Commissionerate, won a gold medal in the standard pistol category at the 25-meter range and a silver medal in the center fire pistol category. R.I. Saidu, a RSI (DAR) from Jagtial, won a gold medal in the air pistol category at the 10-meter range. Constable K Rajkumar, from Kamareddy (DAR), achieved a gold medal in the open sight rifle category at the 50-meter range.
Head Constable P Srinivas, from Mancherial (13th Battalion), won a silver medal in the standard pistol category at the 25-meter range. Constable B Sravanthi, from Asifabad district, won a silver medal in the air pistol category at the 10-meter range. Mahadevi, a lady constable from Nizamabad (CAR), won a silver medal in the prone rifle category at the 50-meter range. Constable E Rajkumar, from Kondapur (8th Battalion), won a silver medal in the 50-meter 3P event.
The program was attended by ADGs Abhilash Bist, Mahesh Bhagwat, Sanjay Kumar Jain, IGs Shahnawaz Khwaja, Kamalasan Reddy, Tarun Joshi, Ramesh Reddy, and other senior police officials.
