Maharastra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis accused the BRS government of being corrupt and said that it should actually be called FRS (Family Raj Party). He claimed that the TRS changed its name and is now running a family party, employing its own family members.
Fadnavis mentioned that CM KCR had approached him for water from Maharashtra to Telangana. There had been a 25-year-long issue regarding water-sharing among Maharashtra, Telangana, and AP. Maharashtra initially did not want to provide water due to the potential submergence caused by the construction of the project. However, Fadnavis thought of the two states as neighbors and brothers and made the historic decision to provide water, resulting in the Kaleshwaram and Medigadda projects receiving water from Maharashtra.
Unfortunately, within three years of construction, these projects developed cracks and are currently in a state of uncertainty, endangering the lives and properties of the people. Fadnavis alleged that this was due to corruption, as KCR took cuts from the project funds to fill his own pockets. He also criticized Panchayat Raj Minister Dayakar Rao for changing parties for personal gain and failing to bring sufficient development to Palakurthy.
Fadnavis praised the Modi government for providing financial assistance through various schemes such as Jandhan Yojana, procurement of paddy and cotton, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, construction of the Ramagundam fertilizer factory, piped water to schools and households, and road development in villages and highways. He emphasized the need for change in Telangana and stated that both BRS and Congress only want to defeat Modi, while the people want the BJP.
Fadnavis promised to investigate corruption and send those involved to jail. He also pledged to make a BC CM, end religious reservations, reduce VAT on fuel, provide free LPG cylinders, deposit Rs 2 lakh for the girl child, give Desi Cow to small farmers, and provide free pattas to the poor.
He highlighted the progress and development happening under Modi’s leadership and stated that when BJP comes to power in Telangana, development will accelerate even faster. Fadnavis urged people to support the party in the Assembly elections, as it is crucial for the future of the state and its people.
