Delhi Police Refute Lockdown Speculations Amid G20 Summit, Set Up Regulated Zone

The Delhi Police has denied rumors of a citywide lockdown from September 8 to 10 for the G20 Summit. The police spokesperson stated that these claims are false. However, a controlled zone has been established in New Delhi due to the presence of foreign dignitaries. From September 8 to 10, all commercial establishments in this area will be closed. Residents within the restricted zone can move freely with valid identification, and essential goods can enter Delhi without restrictions.

The G20 Summit is an important event happening in New Delhi on September 9 to 10. Many foreign leaders, including US President Joe Biden and UK PM Rishi Sunak, are expected to attend. Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be able to travel, so his foreign minister will represent Russia. There is also speculation that Chinese President Xi Jinping may not attend.
