Delhiites woke up to heavy rainfall on Saturday morning, which confirmed that the active southwest monsoon has reached the national capital. The minimum temperature dropped to 25 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average for this season. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 36 degrees. The relative humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 74 percent.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the heavy rains in certain parts of Delhi and Noida confirmed the presence of the active southwest monsoon in the area. The IMD also tweeted that light to moderate rainfall, along with gusty winds of 30-40 Km/h, is expected in many areas of Delhi and its neighboring regions over the next two hours.
