Delhi is fully prepared for the G-20 Summit. The civic body, under the guidance of Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi, has cleaned over 11,000 garbage spots and is spraying anti-larval agents in all wards. Special teams have been created to clean areas near luxury hotels, tourist attractions, and the airport. Delhi is excited to welcome guests for the summit and is ensuring that public places like roads, parks, and markets are clean and tidy.
Delhi takes pride in hosting the G20 Summit and is determined to make a good impression. Oberoi mentioned that they have identified and cleaned around 11,200-11,300 garbage spots, which are now being beautified. These garbage spots are open areas where trash is regularly dumped. Earlier, Oberoi and Durgesh Pathak, the AAP’s MCD in-charge, inspected the preparations in Laxmi Nagar and Narayana Vihar.
The MCD and the public works department are working together to clean, beautify, and renovate roads in the city. Additionally, anti-larval spraying is being carried out in all 250 wards. The statement from Oberoi’s office stated that 52 mechanical road-sweeping machines have been deployed. Deputy Mayor Aaley Mohammad Iqbal mentioned that Ghalib ki Haveli in Ballimaran and Town Hall in Chandni Chowk are also ready to welcome G20 delegates and tourists.
Overall, Delhi is fully committed to ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for the G-20 Summit.
