Deepak Shocks Olympic Medalist and Advances to Pre-Quarterfinals at IBA Men's World Boxing Championships, Hussamuddin Makes it to Last Eight.

Indian boxer Deepak (51kg) defeated Tokyo Olympic bronze medallist and 2021 World Champion Saken Bibossinov to enter the pre-quarterfinals at the IBA Men’s World Boxing Championships. Deepak will face Zhang Jiamao of China in his next fight. Meanwhile, Hussamuddin (57kg) advanced to the quarter-finals after beating Russia’s Savvin Eduard. Sumit (75kg) and Narender Berwal (92+kg) lost their respective bouts and were eliminated from the tournament. The championships have 538 boxers from 107 countries, including Olympic medallists.
