Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend a graduation ceremony for flight cadets at the Air Force Academy in Dundigal on December 17. The ceremony will mark the completion of their training. During the event, the minister will present the ‘President’s Commission’ to the graduating trainees. This includes giving them their ‘wings’ and ‘brevets’. These are important achievements in a military aviator’s career and represent the end of a challenging training period.
The flight cadet from the flying branch who has performed the best will receive the Chief of the Air Staff’s ‘Sword of Honour’ and the ‘President’s Plaque’. They will also have the honor of leading the parade. Additionally, Singh will present the President’s Plaque to the trainee who has ranked highest overall among the ground duty branches.
After the parade, there will be a flypast and aerobatic display featuring various aircraft, including the Pilatus PC-7 training aircraft, the Su-30, Surya Kiran Aerobatic team, and the Sarang helicopter display team.
