Several incidents of sudden deaths have occurred in the Telugu states recently. On Friday, a 54-year-old man named Venkat Raju collapsed and died while playing shuttle at an indoor stadium in Jagtial. In another incident on May 31, a trainee head constable named Ranu Singh died of a heart attack while undergoing training at the Police Training College in Karimnagar district. He had complained of chest pain before collapsing suddenly.

There have been similar incidents in the past few months. On March 22, a 38-year-old man named Shyam Yadav died of a heart attack while playing badminton at an indoor stadium in Hyderabad. On February 25, a software engineer named Prabhu died of a heart stroke while exercising in Kurnool district. On the same day, a 30-year-old constable named Vishal suffered a heart attack while exercising and died on the spot.

In another tragic incident, a 19-year-old youth died of a heart attack while dancing at a friend’s wedding reception in Nirmal district. On March 22, a man named Mohammed Chand Pasha died of a heart attack at the Saudi airport just an hour before his scheduled flight to India. He was a native of Telangana who had gone to Saudi Arabia for work.

On February 28, a TSRTC bus conductor named Bikshapathi died of a heart attack while on duty in Medak district. RTC employees are alleging that his death was a result of harassment by higher officials who had rejected his leave request despite his illness. Checking officials also issued a memo to him on the way, causing him to become depressed. Employees are staging a protest and demanding action against those responsible.
