Land grabbing in Warangal West constituency is a big problem, according to Hanumakonda DCC president Naini Rajender Reddy. He made these comments during a press conference in Hanumakonda. Reddy alleged that followers of Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar are encroaching on vacant land in and around the constituency. He claimed that this area is the number one in the state for land grabbing. Reddy also accused the MLA himself of encroaching government land.

Reddy criticized the district administration for ignoring the encroachments by ruling BRS leaders on the FTL land of tanks, specifically mentioning Bandham cheruvu in Kazipet. He also mentioned the construction of several apartments on government land at Pochammakunta. The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) was also accused of staying silent about land grabbers taking hold of its land. Reddy urged the district collector to protect government land by conducting a survey and taking action against any encroachments.

Reddy questioned the silence of Vinay Bhaskar, who had previously protested for a bus station and junior college for Kazipet when he was in the opposition. Reddy alleged that the ruling party is misusing the police to suppress the opposition’s voice. He warned that if the ruling BRS leaders continue to bulldoze the opposition, the people will teach them a lesson. The press conference was attended by several other individuals including Corporator Pothula Sriman, district minority cell chairman Mirza Azeesulla Baig, mahila Congress president Banka Sarala, and others.
