Nalgonda: District Collector Ila Tripathi has asked officials to prepare for the inauguration of the Brahmana Vellemla Lift Irrigation Scheme.
On Tuesday, she visited the cistern and the right and left distributary canals of the project. These are located in Narketpally Mandal near Brahmana Vellemla village. Since Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is likely to inaugurate the project soon, she reviewed the area with officials from the engineering, irrigation, revenue, and other departments. She also inspected the helipad area, as it will be used during the Chief Minister’s visit, and gave advice to the officials on how to make improvements.
In addition, the Collector discussed plans to develop eco-tourism at the nearby nature park, called Palle Prakruti Vanam. She also talked about building a ropeway to a meditation center that will be set up on an island in the middle of the Brahmana Vellemula project.
Several officials were present during her visit, including Irrigation Department SE Ajay Kumar, Executive Engineer Srinivas Reddy, and RDO Ashok Reddy, along with others from various departments.
