    Karimnagar:

    The District Collector conducted a surprise inspection of the Mother and Child Health Centre in the district on Saturday. During her visit, she inspected various departments, including the Arogyasri gynecological ward, ANC-2, scanning rooms, TIFA scanning room, laboratory, labor room, ICU, operation theatre, maternity wards, and the SNCU block for children in incubators. She also reviewed the registers of these departments to understand the medical services being provided and gathered details about pregnant women, infants, and children admitted to the hospital. The staff was instructed to maintain detailed records in the MCP card. Additionally, the Collector reviewed the number of scanning procedures and lab tests conducted each month.

    While visiting the maternity ward, the Collector interacted with lactating mothers and emphasized the importance of increasing the number of births at the hospital. She advised the staff to encourage high-risk pregnant women to seek care at the facility. Stressing the importance of maternal and child health, she directed the medical staff to ensure that no complications arise for patients.

    The Collector also instructed the staff to inform her about any problems at the Mata Shishu Arogya Kendra. She assured them that necessary repairs would be carried out and medical equipment would be provided. Additionally, she informed the in-charge RMO, Dr. Navina, that she would allocate the required funds to address any issues.
