Cyberabad Police Prohibits DJs in Religious Processions

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Commissioner, G Sudheer Babu, has announced a ban on the use of DJ sound systems during religious processions in the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate area. This decision follows an order from the State Government.

The Commissioner explained that studies have shown that the loud noise from DJ systems can cause serious health problems. These include an increased risk of heart attacks and other heart-related issues in people with heart conditions. Children could also suffer permanent hearing damage due to the high volume levels.

In addition to banning DJ sound systems, the use of sound mixers, amplifiers, and firecrackers during processions has also been prohibited. The Commissioner highlighted that these restrictions are important to protect the health of the general public, especially the elderly.

If anyone violates these rules, strict action will be taken. Cases will be filed under various sections of the law, including BNS 223, 280, 292, 293, 324, BNSS 152, and Section 15 of the Environment Protection Act. Those found guilty could face a fine of Rs 1 lakh and up to five years in prison.

The Commissioner emphasized that all officers in the Rachakonda area have been instructed to strictly enforce these regulations. This decision was made after careful consideration of the problems faced by the public and officials during past events.
