The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Cyberabad police arrested 12 transgender individuals on Saturday night. The arrests took place at Nanakramguda, located in the Gachibowli area, after reports of a public disturbance.
The police acted based on complaints from the public. To handle the situation effectively, the AHTU team split into four groups to conduct the operation.
The 12 individuals were accused of creating a disturbance by exposing their bodies, singing, and making provocative gestures to attract attention.
DCP of Women & Child Safety, K. Srujana, commented on the incident. She stated, “The 12 transgender persons were detained for creating a nuisance by exposing their bodies, singing songs, and using gestures to draw the public’s attention.”
