Cyberabad Police Launch Annual Sports and Games Meet
The Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Avinash Mohanty, inaugurated the seventh Annual Sports, Games, and Duty Meet 2025 on Tuesday. The four-day event is being held from January 21 to January 24.
During the inauguration, the Commissioner highlighted the importance of regular physical activity for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. He encouraged everyone to engage in activities like walking, running, football, tennis, badminton, cricket, and swimming. He also emphasized the need for regular health checkups to prevent lifestyle-related and other diseases.
DCP Sanjeev shared that the event has sparked great enthusiasm among police personnel from the five law and order zones and other wings. A total of 953 police officers, including 150 women, are participating in this year’s sports meet.
ADCP Shameer detailed the lineup of events happening over the four days. Separate competitions are being held for men and women, including 800-meter running, 100-meter running, kabaddi, cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, long jump, shot put, carrom, and chess.
On the first day of the meet, the 800-meter running race was held for both men and women. In the men’s category, Pavan (PC, CAR Headquarters) won first place, Kumar (PC, CAR Headquarters) came in second, and Akhilesh (PC, CAR Headquarters) secured third place. In the women’s category, Rajamani (PC, CAR Headquarters) claimed the first prize, Swathi (PC, CAR Headquarters) won second place, and Tejaswini (PC, Balanagar Zone) took third.
The Annual Sports and Games Meet is a platform for the Cyberabad Police to promote fitness and camaraderie while showcasing their athletic abilities.
