A notorious cyber fraudster, Jitender Singh, was brought to the Sangareddy district court by the police. He is already serving a sentence in Charlapalli Jail for multiple cyber crimes. After appearing in court for cases in Sangareddy district, he was returned to Charlapalli Jail.
Jitender Singh is the main accused in 277 cyber crime cases across the country. In Telangana, he is accused in 84 cyber cases, including two in BDL Bhanur police station, two in Aminpur police station, and one in Gummadidala police station of Sagareddy district.
The police brought Jitender Singh from Charlapalli Jail to the Sangareddy district court on a PT warrant. He is thirty years old and from JP Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka. He used to target innocent people by promising them a lot of money. He committed cyber crimes using 60 mobile phones, 63 SIM cards, and 13 bank accounts to defraud people who believed they would receive easy money.
Jitender Singh had previously been arrested for his involvement in cyber frauds and is currently serving his sentence in Charlapalli Jail. Meanwhile, the number of cyber crimes in Sangareddy district has significantly increased. In 2021, 32 cases were registered, but by 2023, the number had risen to 323, showing a tenfold increase in just two years. The police have repeatedly warned people not to fall for scams promising easy money. If someone is cheated, they can call the number 1930 to report the crime and potentially recover their money.
