Hyderabad: Police Commissioner Inaugurates Awareness Stalls at Nampally Exhibition
The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, CV Anand, inaugurated the Hyderabad City Police stalls at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally on Thursday. These stalls aim to raise awareness about traffic safety, women’s safety, and cybercrime. Several key officials, including P Viswa Prasad, Hyderabad Additional Commissioner of Police Traffic, and Surender Reddy, Secretary of the Exhibition Society, were present at the event.
The Commissioner explained that the stalls were set up to educate the public about the advanced technologies used by the Hyderabad City Police for traffic management and various other services. He also highlighted the historical importance of the Nampally exhibition, which draws thousands of visitors every year.
CV Anand encouraged families, especially those with children, to visit the police stalls. He emphasized the importance of teaching road safety at an early age and urged everyone to follow traffic rules. He also praised the traffic police officers for effectively managing both the exhibition crowd and the city’s traffic during the 45-day event.
The Commissioner expressed gratitude to the Exhibition Society for providing space for the police stalls. He acknowledged their efforts in organizing educational programs and assured them of continued support from the police department in the future. Speaking on the occasion, Additional Commissioner of Police Traffic, P Viswa Prasad, emphasized the need for widespread awareness about traffic rules in a city with over one crore residents.
Several senior police officials attended the event, including BK Rahul Hegde (DCP Traffic-I), N Ashok Kumar (DCP Traffic-II), R Venkateswarlu (DCP Traffic-III), D Kavitha (DCP Cyber Crimes), and Lavanya (DCP Women Safety Wing). Other officers, such as Ramdas Teja (Additional DCP Traffic-II), ACPs, and Hyderabad traffic police inspectors, were also present, along with members of the Exhibition Society.
