The first Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting of the PCC after the Telangana Assembly polls took place in Hyderabad. The meeting discussed important issues such as strategies for the Lok Sabha polls and organizing positions within the State unit.
Attending the meeting were AICC (TS) incharge Manickam Tagore, Chief Minister and PCC chief A Revanth Reddy, Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, former Minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir, and former MP V Hanumantha Rao. They discussed key issues in preparation for the upcoming General Elections.
Since Congress is the ruling party in Telangana and leading the INDIA block, the leadership also discussed strategies and seat-sharing with the Left parties, who are their allies.
In addition, the party discussed options for the PCC’s position now that Revanth has become Chief Minister. The confident Congress party aims to make the most of the 17 Parliamentary seats in the Lok Sabha and plans to reorganize party positions by including important leaders in different roles. The party leadership also discussed appointing leaders to nominated posts in the new government.
