Festive Spirit Marks New Year Celebrations in Hyderabad

Hyderabad witnessed a joyful and festive atmosphere on New Year’s Day as thousands of devotees visited various temples and churches across the city. Special prayers and rituals were conducted to mark the occasion and welcome 2025 with hope and positivity.

From the early hours of the morning, religious places including temples, mosques, churches, and Gurudwaras organized special events and prayers. These gatherings were aimed at seeking blessings for a prosperous year ahead and the well-being of all people.

Prominent temples like the Peddamma Temple in Jubilee Hills, ISKCON temples in Secunderabad and Hyderabad, Hare Krishna Temple in Banjara Hills, Birla Mandir, Jagannath Temple, Ramakrishna Math, and Chilkur Balaji Temple saw large crowds of devotees. Many also traveled to the Yadadri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple to pray on the first day of the year.

Similarly, churches across the city were filled with families attending special prayers. St. Anthony’s Shrine in Mettuguda, All Saints Church in Trimulgherry, and Holy Trinity Church in Bolarum witnessed significant gatherings. Additionally, several function halls in the Secunderabad area were booked by Christian preachers to hold special services for the new year.

The city came together in unity and faith, embracing the new year with prayers and hope for happiness and prosperity in 2025.
