CPI prepares for formation day

The CPI State Secretariat Member, Takkalapally Srinivas Rao, expressed his pride in the Communist party’s efforts to protect people’s rights. He urged party members to hoist red flags throughout the district to celebrate the CPI’s 98th Formation Day on December 26.

Rao highlighted the significant contributions of the CPI since its establishment in 1925 in Kanpur. He mentioned that 4,500 Communists lost their lives in the Telangana Peasants’ Armed Struggle and also participated in the Indian Independence Struggle. Additionally, the Communists distributed 10 lakh acres of land to the poor by fighting against the despotic Nizam ruler’s Razakars.

Rao emphasized that the CPI was the first political party to support separate Telangana. He also mentioned the CPI’s ongoing efforts in Bhu Poratam (land struggle) and their commitment to providing shelter for the poor.

Rao criticized the BJP-led Central Government for neglecting the needs of the common people while benefiting big corporations like Adanis and Ambanis with their policies.

Karre Bikshapathi, the CPI Hanumakonda district secretary, announced that a rally will be held on December 26, starting from Thousand Pillars Temple to Public Gardens, to commemorate the party’s formation day.
