The progress of a country depends on the development of girls in society, stated District Legal Services Authority and Senior Civil Court Judge V. Rajani. On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, an awareness seminar on laws was held at Desai Muralidhar Reddy Memorial Primary School in Amarachinta town. The event was organized by the District Legal Services Authority.
Judge Rajani emphasized that girls should be treated equally to boys and given opportunities to grow. She explained that with support from parents and teachers, girls can excel in various fields and achieve great success. She also highlighted the importance of providing the necessary resources to girls so they can contribute to society’s well-being.
The judge mentioned that governments are implementing laws and welfare schemes to support girls and encouraged them to take full advantage of these initiatives. During the event, a student named Nandini impressed everyone by performing as Bharat Mata, inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s famous Chicago speech. Artist Rajasekhar Amma was moved by the girls’ performances, especially the songs celebrating women. Prizes were given to winners of various competitions held in honor of Republic Day.
Later, Judge Rajani inaugurated sports competitions at the Government Girls’ High School. She also visited the Bhavita Kendra, where she spoke with students and listened to their concerns. At the conference, Sakhi Legal Council member D. Krishnaiah urged everyone to help eliminate child marriages and advised women to use Sakhi Kendras to address their issues.
The event was attended by Mandal Education Officer Bhaskara Rao, Principal Kalavatthamma Karunakar, Para Legal Volunteers Ahmed Rajendra Kumar Kalampasha, Bhavita Nirvakura Swapna, Lok Adalat staff, and others. It served as a platform for raising awareness about the rights and empowerment of girls.
