Warangal: Fake Currency Racket Busted, Eight Arrested
The KUC Police in Warangal have arrested an eight-member gang involved in a fake currency racket. The police seized Rs 39 lakh in genuine currency, fake notes worth Rs 21 lakh, a car, and an auto-rickshaw from the accused. This was confirmed by Commissioner of Police Amber Kishore Jha.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Manikala Krishna from Morampally Banjara (Bhadradri-Kothagudem), Erragolla Srinivas and Udutha Mallesh from Keshavapur (Hanumakonda), Bijini Vemula Venkataiah from Kurvapet (Kurnool), Daramsoth Srinu and Tejavath Siva from Nakripet (Bhadradri-Kothagudem), Guguloth Veeranna from Mukamamidi (Bhadradri-Kothagudem), and Erragolla Ajay from Pedda Papaiahpally (Hanumakonda).
The gang was caught near the Pegadapally crossroad while attempting to exchange fake currency notes. Commissioner Amber Kishore Jha praised the efforts of ACP Devender Reddy, KUC Inspector Ravi Kumar, Sub-Inspector Madhav, and other officers for successfully apprehending the group.
