Boya Nagesh, president of the Youth Congress in the Chandrayangutta Assembly constituency, is confident that he will receive votes from both the Muslim and Hindu communities. He is running against AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi and believes he can give him a tough competition. Nagesh has already started meeting party leaders and voters in the constituency. After Dasara, he plans to begin a padayatra and visit every household in the area, promising six guarantees to the residents.
In the previous elections, Congress received 11,310 votes in Chandrayangutta, while AIMIM got 95,341 votes. This time, Congress is trying something different by fielding a non-Muslim candidate from the Backward Caste. Nagesh is optimistic that the youth, regardless of caste or community, will support him in the upcoming elections. He understands the problems faced by the people in the constituency, such as bad roads, waterlogging, and the lack of promised housing and financial assistance during flooding. He believes that the State government has failed to fulfill its promises and as a youth leader, he wants to address these issues.
Nagesh is excited about the presence of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Telangana, as he believes their support will have a positive impact on the election outcome. He claims that their six guarantees have inspired party candidates to make similar promises to the public. Nagesh is determined to give a tough fight to other parties in Chandrayangutta and believes that his party’s leaders have provided a much-needed boost to the cadre and public morale.
