Hyderabad: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, while addressing a spirited rally in Karimnagar, confidently declared that the Congress is poised to return to power in Telangana with an overwhelming three-fourths majority. The Chief Minister, speaking from the heartland of Chhattisgarh, asserted that the Congress government has diligently fulfilled all its promises to the people.
Taking a swipe at the current administration led by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Baghel highlighted the concentration of power within the ruling family, holding a staggering 17 departments. He went on to express concerns about Telangana’s escalating debt burden, cautioning that without a change in leadership, the state’s debt could skyrocket from Rs 5 lakh crore to a daunting Rs 10 lakh crore.
In a post on social media platform “X,” Baghel, without explicitly naming individuals, hinted at a perceived unease within the BJP in Telangana. He suggested a palpable wave of support for the Congress in the state, emphasizing that the public sentiment echoes a desire for retribution against those perceived as “looters.”
“The public says that whatever the looters have looted will be avenged. The Congress is forming the government here also with full majority,” declared Baghel, outlining a vision of the Congress reclaiming political dominance in Telangana. As the political landscape continues to evolve, Baghel’s bold proclamation sets the stage for an intensified electoral battle in the state, with the Congress eyeing a triumphant resurgence.
