The Congress Screening Committee is still working on finalizing the list of candidates. It is expected that the list will be released after the bus yatra, which will be attended by Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi starting from October 15.

Due to disagreements over around 10% of the Assembly segments in Telangana, the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the party has delayed announcing the tickets. Sources say that the party has almost finalized the candidate list, with the screening committee confirming candidates for about 60-70 seats. However, issues such as financial investments by winning candidates, caste-related concerns, and candidates joining from other parties have caused disagreements among PCC chief A Revanth Reddy and the screening committee members, leading to a delay in finalizing the list.

The screening committee is now reviewing recommendations forwarded to the CEC, but a consensus has not been reached yet. In some constituencies, multiple leaders are aspiring for the same seat, creating confusion for the committee. For example, under the GHMC limits, there are multiple candidates vying for seats in different constituencies.

The bus yatra is scheduled to begin on October 15 and will last for ten days. It is likely that the final candidate list will be announced after the yatra. The committee will reconvene after a week-long gap.

Meanwhile, Revanth Reddy, speaking in Delhi after the election notification was announced, confidently stated that Telangana will be liberated on November 30, the date of the polls.
