Hyderabad: On Thursday, members of the opposition accused the ruling party of straying from established parliamentary practices. Leaders from the AIMIM, BJP, and BRS urged Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar to strictly follow the proposed agenda and set clear priorities. They emphasized that this would help legislators prepare better for discussions on specific subjects.
The issue came to light while Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was speaking about the “Outstanding Liabilities of the State.” AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi interrupted the speech to question why the Congress was not adhering to parliamentary procedures or following the planned agenda.
Owaisi further alleged that the opposition was not properly informed about the scheduled debates. He pointed out a lack of coordination between the Treasury and Opposition benches, calling it a serious concern. “If the government cannot run the House efficiently, I can only imagine how they are managing the state,” he remarked, leaving the Treasury benches visibly uncomfortable.
