Hyderabad: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has confirmed that A. Revanth Reddy will continue as Chief Minister of Telangana until the next Assembly elections.
During an informal interaction at the Secretariat on Saturday, the Revenue Minister responded to remarks made by BJP leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy. Maheshwar Reddy had claimed that the Chief Minister would be replaced soon. Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy dismissed these statements, saying there will be no change in the Chief Minister’s position. He emphasized that Revanth Reddy will remain in power for the next four years. When the time comes for the next term, the decision will be made by the party’s high command. He added that the opposition is merely trying to create doubt and confusion regarding the Chief Minister’s role.
In addition, PCC president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud also rejected the claims made by Maheshwar Reddy. He referred to these statements as fantasies and reiterated that Revanth Reddy will serve his full term. Goud suggested that Maheshwar Reddy, who lacks respect within his own party, is making such comments only to stay in the public eye.
