On Saturday, she attended an event in the Shadnagar constituency as the chief guest to inaugurate several development projects.
Minister Seethakka, accompanied by Shadnagar MLA Veerlapalli Shankar and Kalwakurthy MLA Kasireddy Narayanareddy, unveiled several key projects. In Madhurapur village, Farooqnagar mandal, she inaugurated the Women’s Federation Building, which cost ₹35 lakh, and a Community Hall built at ₹15 lakh. During the event, Minister Seethakka mentioned that the government is offering ₹50 crore in interest-free loans to women, with the government covering the interest charges. She also highlighted the introduction of free bus services for women and criticized opposition leaders for spreading false claims about these services meant for economically underprivileged women. Additionally, she pointed out that while previous governments had raised the cost of cooking gas to ₹1,200, the Congress government is now providing gas cylinders for ₹500. The Minister also shared that 200 units of free electricity are being made available to households.
Minister Seethakka explained that the government is supporting women in starting businesses such as women’s power canteens, event management services, and solar energy production units. She announced the provision of mobile fish vending vehicles to women’s associations, each costing ₹10 lakh. The government is offering these vehicles at a subsidized rate of ₹4 lakh, covering 60% of the cost. A total of 32 vehicles, one for each district, will be distributed to women’s associations. She encouraged women to take advantage of these opportunities to achieve economic growth and empowerment.
Seethakka reiterated the Congress government’s commitment to women’s welfare and urged them to utilize these initiatives to improve their lives and contribute to the state’s development.
