The check bounce dispute between two Congress leaders in Hyderabad has now escalated to involving the police. The Banjara Hills police have registered a case against former MLC Prem Sagar Rao based on a complaint filed by former minister Vinod Kumar. Vinod Kumar alleges that Prem Sagar cheated him by issuing a bounced cheque. Vinod Kumar claims that he had given Rs 25 lakh to Prem Sagar during the last election and when he asked for repayment, he was given a cheque. However, when Vinod Kumar deposited the cheque in the bank, it bounced. Despite multiple attempts to contact Prem Sagar and request the return of his money, there has been no response. Vinod Kumar recently filed a complaint at the Banjara Hills Police Station.
Prem Sagar Rao has already received court notices regarding the cheque bounce case. On the other hand, Gaddam Vinod Kumar, son of Gaddam Venkataswamy, is currently campaigning from Bellampally constituency for the upcoming election. In the previous elections, Vinod Kumar contested as a BSP candidate for the Legislative Assembly in Bellampally but lost by a narrow margin. It is reported that Vinod Kumar is hopeful of securing the Bellampally ticket from the Congress party in the next election.
