Congress Party Calls for Investigation of TSPSC Scandal by High Court Judge in Hyderabad

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has been embroiled in a scandal involving leaked examination papers, causing exams to be cancelled and leaving thousands of candidates in limbo. TPCC senior vice-president G. Niranjan has called for the matter to be taken up by the High Court, with a committee headed by a sitting judge of the High Court to be constituted for the inquiry. Niranjan also suggested that the governing body of the TSPSC should be abolished and replaced with a committee headed by a sitting judge, which would oversee all examinations until a new governing body is formed.

Niranjan expressed concern over the lack of response from the Governor, the government, and the governing body of the TSPSC, who were supposed to provide assurance and take action against those responsible. He criticized the irresponsible behavior of BRS-BJP leaders who were accusing and blaming each other as culprits. Niranjan emphasized that candidates and their parents are seeking justice, fair trial, and strict action against the accused, as well as cleansing of the Public Service Commission.

The Chairman of the TSPSC has admitted to being deceived by those he trusted, and Niranjan has called for him and other members of the TSPSC to resign from their responsibilities to contribute to an impartial investigation. Niranjan believes that justice will not be served by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigation alone. The situation calls for a thorough investigation and overhaul of the TSPSC to restore public trust in the commission.
