The newly-elected Congress Parliamentarians from Telangana are focusing on achieving the promises made during the state’s bifurcation in the upcoming monsoon session. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is expected to meet with all eight newly-elected MPs soon.

Party sources claim that both the BJP and TRS have not fulfilled the promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act over the past decade. The BJP, which came to power after Telangana’s formation, did not prioritize these promises. The TRS, during its two terms in power, also failed to push for these promises and instead followed the Centre’s directives on various issues. The Chief Minister is determined to address this issue now that Telangana’s Congress has eight MPs.

The MPs will advocate for the establishment of a rail coach factory in Kazipet and a steel factory in Bayyaram, as outlined in the Reorganisation Act. Additionally, the State government is seeking a Tribal University, IIM, and national project status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation project, which is a priority for the Chief Minister.

Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi stated that the State’s MPs are ready for the monsoon session and will remind the NDA government of its unfulfilled promises. They plan to address numerous issues outlined in the Reorganisation Act and seek support for Telangana.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has urged Union Ministers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to secure funds and bring projects to both states. He emphasized the importance of implementing the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act and obtaining the funds, schemes, and projects owed from the Centre for the two Telugu states.
