Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that the recent arrest of actor Allu Arjun sends a strong message that everyone is treated equally under the law. He praised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for taking firm action despite facing criticism from various groups.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, the Bhongir MP discussed the arrest of Allu Arjun in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede during the premiere of the movie Pushpa 2. He said the CM’s decisive actions have not only strengthened his leadership but also boosted his reputation at the national level.
Kiran Kumar Reddy also criticized the BRS party for spreading false information about the Rythu Bharosa scheme. He accused opposition leaders of trying to mislead farmers. “When KCR was the Chief Minister, he made poor decisions that led to Rs 22,000 crore being given to ineligible people under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. Our government is committed to avoiding such mistakes. The Rythu Bharosa scheme is aimed at helping all eligible farmers,” he explained.
The MP further accused BRS Working President KT Rama Rao of being inconsistent in his statements about the Formula E Car Race case. He claimed that KTR is trying to distract the public. “One moment he says the case is unrelated to him, then he says he was fully involved. Later, he claims the government itself started the case as part of a conspiracy. KTR’s stance keeps changing,” Reddy said.
