Congress Names Narender Reddy as MLC Candidate
The Congress party has officially chosen V. Narender Reddy, the Chairman of Alphores Educational Institutions, as its candidate for the Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Adilabad, and Medak Graduate MLC seat.
The decision was made after gathering opinions from MLAs, MPs, and DCC presidents in the constituency. Many party members had suggested Narender Reddy’s name, leading to his selection.
Narender Reddy has been a Congress member since 2018. He initially wanted to contest from the Karimnagar Assembly seat that year, but the party fielded former MP Ponnam Prabhakar instead. Although he was offered a chance to contest for the Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat in 2024, he chose to run for the Graduate MLC position to serve and support graduates.
This Graduate MLC constituency covers a vast area, including the joint districts of Karimnagar, Adilabad, Medak, and Nizamabad, with a total of 42 assembly constituencies. Narender Reddy has already visited these areas, meeting graduates, unemployed youth, private teachers, and lecturers to gain their support.
He has successfully registered nearly one lakh graduate voters with the help of volunteers and is confident that these votes will secure his victory. He believes there are no further challenges in his path to winning the election.
Narender Reddy started his career in education in 1991 by running a small tuition center in Karimnagar. He used to teach from early morning until late at night, traveling by bicycle to conduct classes. His dedication helped many students succeed in their careers.
Today, he runs 54 educational institutions, providing quality education to thousands of students. Many of his students have gone on to study at prestigious institutes like IITs, IIMs, AIIMS, and NITs, and have secured top positions in India and abroad. His institutions also provide employment to over 5,000 people and education to more than 50,000 students.
With a large number of former students, their families, and supporters in the region, Narender Reddy is confident of winning the election. He believes his experience as the State President of the Telangana State Private Junior College Owners Association, a Senate member at Satavahana University, and a strong supporter of student organizations will help him in politics.
Narender Reddy has stated that his primary goal is to work for the betterment of society through strong policies and dedicated efforts in the education sector. He is ready to raise his voice on behalf of graduates and contribute to their development.
