Congress in Uproar Over Initial List

The Congress party recently announced its first list of 55 candidates, and this has caused some unrest within the party. Many ticket aspirants who did not receive a ticket are now threatening to leave the party and work against it in the upcoming elections.

In Kollapur, supporters of Ch Jagadishwar Rao, who was hoping for a ticket, vandalized the party office and tore down the hoarding of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee Chief A Revanth Reddy. The ticket for Kollapur was given to Jupally Krishna Rao, who recently joined the party after being expelled from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi. The party minority cell has shown support for Jagadishwar Rao and criticized the party leadership.

At Gandhi Bhavan, the party headquarters, Congress Minority Cell leaders and workers blocked former MLA Mallu Ravi’s press meet. They raised slogans against the party, claiming that people who were not connected to the constituencies were given tickets for constituencies in the Old City. Mallu Ravi had to leave Gandhi Bhavan, stating that it was not his fault.

In Medchal, supporters of Harivardhan Reddy, who did not receive a ticket, staged a protest and argued with supporters of Thottakura Jangaiah Yadav, whose son Vajresh Yadav was given the ticket. In Uppal, senior leaders Ragidi Laxma Reddy and Singireddy Somashekhar Reddy resigned from the party after their tickets were given to M Parameshwar Reddy. Somashekhar Reddy threatened to ensure Revanth Reddy’s defeat in Kodangal as a result of this decision.

Another ticket aspirant from Medchal, Singireddy Harivardhan Reddy, accused the TPCC President of cheating him after promising a ticket. Throughout the day, posters appeared in various locations calling Revanth Reddy “Ratentha Reddy” and alleging that he received Rs 58 crore from “58 members”.
