The ABP C-voter pre poll survey suggests that the Indian National Congress (INC) party has a slight advantage in the assembly elections in November. The survey predicts that INC may win 48-60 seats, but it could face tough competition from the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) led by K Chandrashekar Rao, which may win 43-55 seats. The survey also predicts that the BJP may win 5-11 seats.
Despite the efforts of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the BJP may not see significant gains in vote share or seats in Telangana, according to the opinion poll. Another survey by Lok Poll also placed INC as the number one party with a moderate lead over BRS.
According to independent pollsters, the swing in favor of INC can be attributed to its focus on OBC and Micro OBC caste surveys as part of its campaign. INC is projected to increase its vote share from 28.3% in the last elections to 38.8%, making it the biggest leap among all parties in Telangana. BRS, on the other hand, is projected to experience a decline of 9.4% in vote share, trailing behind INC with a vote share of 37.5%.
The BJP is projected to secure 16% of votes, an increase of 9.3% from the last elections.
