Congress holds meeting to discuss Lok Sabha elections

The ruling Congress is preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. They have called for an important meeting to plan their strategy and identify potential winners in the elections. The meeting will be attended by AICC general secretary Manikrao Thakre, TPCC president and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, and all Political Affairs Committee (PAC) members.

During the meeting, they will discuss various political issues, including the challenges they face in winning a majority of MP seats and countering the strategies of the BJP and BRS in the Lok Sabha elections. The Congress is confident that they can win more than 10 out of the 17 MP seats in the state. However, their goal is to win at least 15 seats. The party has already appointed in-charges for all 17 Lok Sabha segments and received a report on their chances of winning.

The Congress will focus more on the North Telangana districts, where they face strong competition from the Congress, BRS, and BJP. To support their efforts in Telangana, a team of AICC leaders will pay special attention to the party’s activities during the elections and help overcome any political obstacles.

Some senior Congress leaders will be given party tickets to contest the MP elections. Former minister K Jana Reddy has already expressed his readiness to fight in the elections, and senior leader Renuka Choudary is eyeing the Khammam Lok Sabha seat. The Adilabad, Nizamabad, Warangal, Mahabubabad, Medak, Zaheerabad, and Karimangar Lok Sabha segments are crucial for the Congress to achieve a significant victory in the general elections.
