Congress government certain to return at Centre in 2029

TPCC working president T Jagga Reddy is confident that the Congress party will win the 2029 general elections. He believes the party will secure 300 Lok Sabha seats, making Rahul Gandhi the next Prime Minister.

Speaking to the media, Jagga Reddy challenged Union Minister G Kishan Reddy to get approval for the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) in Telangana. He promised to felicitate Kishan Reddy or BJP leader Raghunandan Rao if they succeed. However, if they fail, he vowed to request Rahul Gandhi to implement the project once he becomes Prime Minister.

Jagga Reddy also spoke about Congress’s commitment to education. He recalled that the IIT in Sangareddy was approved when YS Rajasekhara Reddy was the Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh. He admitted that he did not even know the full form of IIT at the time, but he understood the benefits it would bring to the region.

Criticizing the BJP, Jagga Reddy mentioned that the IIT project was shelved after they came to power. He compared this to Mumbai’s Powai, where an IIT was established 30 years ago in a forested area, which later developed into Greater Mumbai. He asserted that Telangana has similar potential for growth if given the right opportunities and support.
