Warangal: Protest Against BJP Leader Over Controversial Remarks
Congress party members in Warangal, led by Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, staged a protest against BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri on Tuesday. The protest took place in Hanumakonda, where the Congress cadre burned an effigy of the BJP in response to Bidhuri’s remarks about Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The controversy started when Ramesh Bidhuri, during a campaign in Delhi’s Kalkaji constituency, made a comment comparing roads to “Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks.” This statement sparked widespread criticism and outrage.
MLA Naini Rajender Reddy demanded that Ramesh Bidhuri issue an unconditional apology and immediately withdraw his remarks. He also called on the BJP leadership to take action by suspending Bidhuri from the party, stating that such comments show a lack of respect for women.
Naini further criticized the BJP, accusing the party of prioritizing election victories over good governance. He emphasized that leaders like Bidhuri reflect poorly on the values and direction of the BJP.
