Congress Asserts KCR Should Attend Assembly if He Respects People's Mandate

Hyderabad: The Congress has stated that former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao should attend the Budget session as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) if he respects the people’s mandate. They believe his ‘valuable suggestions’ could enlighten the house.

Government Whip Beerla Ilaiah spoke to media persons at the Assembly premises. He expressed hope that the BRS chief, K Chandrasekhar Rao, would attend the Assembly session this time. Ilaiah emphasized that if Rao truly acknowledges the people’s mandate, he should work for the State’s development in different capacities and guide the government with his recommendations.

Ilaiah also condemned former Minister T Harish Rao for criticizing the State government’s handling of the farm loan waiver. He felt that Harish Rao was unable to accept that farmers were happy with the steps taken by the Revanth Reddy government. Ilaiah accused Harish Rao of trying to mislead farmers by making statements against the Chief Minister and other Ministers.
