Congress appeals for support to abolish BRS rule in Bangaru Telangana

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has accused the BJP government in Delhi and the BRS government in Hyderabad of betraying the promise of a prosperous Telangana. They claim that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family have established a “family rule” and are ruling like the Nizams, dragging the state back into the past. The CWC is urging the people of Telangana to vote for the Congress in the upcoming elections to reignite the dream of a golden Telangana.

In 2014, Telangana was created after a long struggle by its people. The Congress played a key role in its formation, with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh consulting all stakeholders and overcoming political challenges. However, nine years later, the promise of a golden Telangana remains unfulfilled, according to the CWC. They allege that the resources meant for the people have been misused by those in power.

The Congress also highlights the experiences of the BJP government in Delhi and the BRS government in Hyderabad, which they claim have benefited only a select few at the expense of the poor, farmers, Dalits, tribal communities, and minorities. The CWC emphasizes that the Congress has always worked for a strong and inclusive economy that benefits everyone. They point to their track record in Telangana, which includes measures such as land rights, a strong public sector that supports the private sector, MGNREGA, and statehood.

Overall, the CWC is calling on the people of Telangana to vote for the Congress to achieve the future that they deserve and reignite the dream of a prosperous Telangana.
