Hyderabad: The World Cup cricket fever seems to have influenced the political leaders who are leading the campaign trail. The BRS leaders responded to survey reports from Karnataka that predicted a setback for the party. Minister T Harish Rao, addressing a public meeting, dismissed the reports as daydreaming by the Congress party. He used cricket analogies to express his confidence in the BRS’s success in the elections. He said the Congress party would be run out and the BJP would be duck out, with the Saffron party losing their one seat from the previous election. He emphasized that the people of Telangana have lost confidence in the BJP and that only the BRS will win in the state.
Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy criticized the practice of conducting survey reports without scientific accuracy and integrity. He expressed his certainty that the BRS will come to power and KCR will serve as Chief Minister for a third consecutive term.
Senior leader Dasoju Sravan accused the TPCC chief of circulating fake pre-poll survey reports on social media to play mind games and increase competition for tickets. He warned the public to be cautious of the Congress party’s attempts to confuse them with false surveys.
