Complaints of Substandard Services at SCCL Hospital in Khammam Raised by Workers

The main hospital of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in Kothagudem has been facing issues related to the health services it provides and the presence of stray dogs and monkeys on its premises. The workers of SCCL have expressed their dissatisfaction with the management for not paying attention to their health needs. They claim that the hospital is using outdated equipment for conducting tests for different diseases, which is resulting in inaccurate readings of their sugar and blood pressure levels. This has left the workers worried about their health conditions. They have demanded that the management purchase new machinery for the laboratory to provide better health services to them.

The workers have also complained about the presence of stray dogs and monkeys on the hospital premises, which is causing fear among them. They are afraid to go for treatment as they fear the animals might attack them. Moreover, theft cases have also been reported from the inpatients in the hospital.

However, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Singareni, B V Rao, has stated that the hospital provides good treatment to every worker in the company. He has also mentioned that the hospital recently purchased an HB A1 diabetic machine worth 14 lakh and has sent a proposal for purchasing more drugs to keep in store. Regarding the issue of stray dogs and monkeys, he said that the hospital management has lodged a complaint with the municipality and maintains tight security in the rooms.

In conclusion, the SCCL workers’ concerns about the health services provided by the company hospital and the presence of stray animals need to be addressed by the management. The hospital needs to upgrade its equipment and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of its patients.
