At the orientation program for new students at Srinidhi Engineering College, CP Sudhir Babu IPS, the Chief Guest, shared insightful advice on how college life plays a crucial role in shaping students’ futures. The event saw the participation of around 3,000 students, along with their parents and faculty members.
CP Sudhir Babu emphasized the importance of maintaining good relationships with peers to create a positive learning environment. He encouraged the students to make the most of their college years as a stepping stone for their careers and advised them to avoid harmful activities like ragging and substance abuse.
He spoke strongly against the use of drugs, warning students about the serious physical and mental health risks associated with intoxicants. The CP also mentioned the ongoing efforts by law enforcement, including numerous raids and arrests, to fight against drug trafficking.
The CP also talked about anti-ragging measures taken by the Rachakonda Police. He urged students to support a ragging-free campus and to build friendly relationships with their juniors, advising them to treat juniors as friends and offer them support.
The orientation program was attended by notable figures such as ACP Malkajigiri Sri Chakrapani, Pocharam ITC PS Inspector Raju, College Principal Siva Reddy, and various Heads of Departments.
In his closing remarks, CP Sudhir Babu stressed that both students and educational institutions share the responsibility of creating a safe and nurturing environment, which is essential for the overall development of the next generation.
