Mancherial District Prepares for CM Cup 2024 Sports Competitions

Mancherial District Collector Kumar Deepak has urged authorities to work together to ensure the success of the ongoing district-level sports competitions under the CM Cup 2024. The Collector emphasized the importance of the event and called for coordinated efforts to make it a memorable one.

The Collector, accompanied by various officials, visited the Zilla Parishad Boys’ High School ground where the competitions are currently underway. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the government’s commitment to developing the sports sector and expressed hope that these initiatives would yield positive results.

He shared that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the competitions. Talented athletes who perform exceptionally well at the district level will be selected to represent the district in the state-level competitions. These state-level events are scheduled to take place from December 27, 2024, to January 2, 2025.

Kumar Deepak expressed optimism that players from the district would excel in the upcoming state-level competitions and bring pride to Mancherial. He also reminded everyone that sports play a vital role in personal growth, noting that a special quota has been allocated for sports in education and employment sectors. He emphasized that sports not only promote physical fitness but also enhance focus and discipline, which are essential for achieving success in life.

The Collector detailed the schedule of upcoming events. On December 19, sports like kho-kho, wrestling, baseball, and chess will be held at Ushodaya High School in the city. Athletics and football competitions will take place at Seven Hills School on December 20. Meanwhile, karate, judo, handball, wushu, badminton, swimming, hatyapatiya, table tennis, and other sports are planned at Hitech City Club on December 21.

He encouraged players to embrace both victories and defeats with a spirit of sportsmanship and continue striving for excellence. The event saw the participation of officials, coaches, players, and other stakeholders, all working together to make the program a success.
