District Collector Conducts Surprise Inspections at Exam Centres
District Collector Rahul Sharma conducted surprise inspections at several exam centres in Bhupalapally on Monday. He visited Montessori School, Balaji Integrated Teaching School, and Government Junior College to oversee the arrangements for the ongoing examinations.
The Collector informed that a total of 17 exam centres have been set up in the district for the smooth conduct of the exams as per Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSGPSC) regulations. To adhere to the rules, he left his mobile phone in his vehicle before entering the centres, as cell phones are strictly prohibited inside exam venues.
During his visit, he inspected the facilities and monitored the overall arrangements at the centres. He advised invigilators and chief superintendents to strictly implement the rules and ensure the proper conduct of the exams.
Collector Sharma emphasized that candidates would not be allowed to leave the exam centres until the examination is completed. He assured that uninterrupted electricity supply has been arranged at all centres, and emergency medical services are readily available. Additionally, he confirmed the provision of safe drinking water for all candidates.
The Group 2 exams consist of four subjects, conducted in two sessions—morning and evening—over two days. At Montessori School, 15 rooms were prepared to accommodate 360 candidates, of which 190 attended and 170 were absent. At Balaji Integrated Teaching School, 12 rooms were set up for 288 candidates, with an equal split of 144 attendees and absentees. Meanwhile, at Government Junior College in Bhupalpally, 12 rooms were also arranged for 288 candidates, but only 116 attended, leaving 172 absent.
Officials, including TSGPSC supervisors, chief superintendents, route officers, and DIPRO Srinivas, were present during the inspections. The Collector reiterated the district’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and fair examination process.
